My Favorite Children's Book

The title of my favorite children's book is  Love You Forever by Robert Munsch.  This book touches my heart in so many ways! Being a new mother myself, this book shows that a mother's love is unconditional forever!  I think it teaches our children that it is okay to grow developmentally and experience the things in life that are presented to you, but you are never to old to be rocked and loved by your mommy!!  The ending brings me to tears every time when the son rocks his mother as she grew very old and he was able to return the love and model the same behavior with his baby girl!

  1. I love this book as well. This is such a versatile book. It fits into all programs and all people. I remember when I first read this book and the impact it made on me. I thought I was just a mom. I have 4 children and it really hit home. I also so myself taking care of my elderly mom. Thanks for sharing this great book.

  2. This book brings tears to my eyes. I love the meaning behind it but the ending makes me cry because I am very close to my parents and do not like to think of the day when.....

Great book for children to first learn about the meaning of love.

  3. I love this book and can remember the first time I ever heard it read to me by one of my early childhood teachers. I checked the book out from the library and took it home to my mother. She read it to me over and over again, and it became one of her favorite books as well. :) I'm sure if I were to turn the pages again and read it to my students and for myself, it would bring back so many memories and remind me of the love parents have for their children.

  4. I'm right there with you all, it's a real tear jerker! And I also agree that it is a wonderful book. As are all Robert Munsch books. They engage children and adults so easily.
